It looks like the same entrance I use but there was a small parking lot on the left closer to the locked gate if I recall. Did you see it? I was also surprised you didn’t make a stop at the original “batcave” from the old batman series where the trail first fork off.

I did the hike today and it worked out perfectly. I’ve lived in the LA area my whole life and figured I should do it at least once. Thanks for having all the information in one place, that was super easy to follow.
